Eric Bardot, psychiatrist, child psychiatrist and psychotherapist created Strategic Drawing through his experience in Brief Therapy, Ericksonian Hypnosis, EMDR and HSTAM. Drawing is used in a strategic perspective with pre-teenagers from 11 to 14 years of age, especially when they have phobic anxiety, depressive states or an inhibition or over-stimulation in presence of parents.
This method is efficient with children and adults as an aid to plant the decor of resources and the problem. It may be a precious tool for pre-teens as a way of externalising difficulties in a non verbal way.
It may also be helpful in couple therapy.
It has been used in palliative therapy.
It consists in expressing the problem, the desired solution and a path to change in a symbolic way on paper. Artistic expression allows to reveal inner resources and contexts that are invisible for the psyche.

I recommend Mrs.Mason because she listens to you and asks questions. She helps you to understand yourself. She helped me to get over my phobia and, even if I am still a bit afraid sometimes, I feel much better. At least, I don’t tremble like a leaf anymore. I couldn’t bear living like that, always full of fear and stress. Thank you so much.
